Meet Our Office Manager

Jennifer Thomas, Office Manager, Joined Staff: June 1992
Jennifer Thomas is completing her 25th year as a clinic employee. She started as a receptionist and then moved into technician work. She is also the office manager. She and her husband, Steve, love antiques of all kinds and own vintage automobiles which they take to car shows and on back-road rides to unique places. Her daughter, Stephanie, is a marketing administrator for Keller Williams in Madison and her husband, Tyler works for Verizon. She has a French Bulldog, Miss Pearl,  who comes to work with her every day. Jennifer makes sure everything runs smoothly with your visit to Whitworth Animal Clinic.


Meet Our Receptionists

Abby Snyder, Receptionist, Joined Staff: April 2004
Abby Snyder is our lead receptionist and has been working at Whitworth clinic since April 2004 after relocating from the Shoals area. She and her husband, Phil, love spending time outdoors with their daughter Emmalyn, their dogs Lizzie, Phil Jr., and Jack. Pinterest “pinning” is a hobby; she’s very creative. They also have 3 fish, Prego, Ozzy and Bad, Bad Leroy Brown.


Lacey Clinkscales, Receptionist, Joined Staff: 2016
Lacey was born and raised in Southern Maryland. She moved to the Carolinas in 2008 and met her husband Christopher. His job with Remington relocated them to Madison in June 2016, and she joined our staff just a few days after. They have a daughter, Catherine, and a brand new baby boy, William. She has always had a love of animals. Her dogs, named Laylaa and Remi are part of the family. She loves spending time with family, watching football–GO REDSKINS and GAMECOCKS– and spending time outdoors.


Katie Burt, Receptionist, Joined Staff: 2017
Our newest team member, Katie Burt, and her husband, Kyle, moved here from Winchester, TN. They have 2 feline furbabies, Loki and Barry Allen who is an adorable 3-legged cat full of personality. She and Kyle love working as youth leaders at church. In her spare time, she loves baking, reading, and doing artsy things. She and Kyle love watching movies together and spending time on the water swimming, paddle boarding, and riding on sea-doos.


Meet Our Technicians

Vet technicians complete a wide variety of tasks at Whitworth Animal Clinic in Madison, AL, including keeping medical records, administering medication, assisting Dr. Whitworth in caring for animal patients, and giving shots.  They also change bandages, prepare pets for surgery, take X-rays, and and collect lab samples.  Our vet techs are busy and involved in the care of our patients.

Paige Herron, Technician, Joined Staff: 2016
Paige became a part of our family in 2016. She has an obvious passion for pets and loves educating our clients about what is the best way to keep their pets healthy in their everyday lifestyle. Born and raised in Ardmore, AL, she now lives in the Huntsville area with her boyfriend, Alex and their 2 cats. She loves spending time outdoors and watching Alabama football. Roll Tide!


Katie Williams, Technician, Joined Staff: 2015
Katie has been a technician at our clinic since 2015. She has a degree in nutrition but has always had a passion for animals. She and her husband, Jake, have a son, Weston. They have a Bulldog named Reuben and a cat, Gibbs. She loves all aspects of her job from helping the patients and working with and getting to know the clients. War Eagle!


Amie, Kennel Technician, Joined Staff: 2015
Amie came to our clinic with several years of experience as a kennel technician and has made her home here with us since 2015. She does an excellent job of making all the fur babies feel completely content during their visit with us. In her spare time, she loves hanging out with friends and watching football. War Eagle!


Olivia, Kennel Technician, Joined Staff: 2015
Olivia also came to our clinic in 2015 with several years of experience as a kennel technician. She has several pets of her own including some exotics like spiders and rats. She loves to draw, and we all think she is very good at it. Playing video games is another one of Olivia’s interests.


Shannon McKinney, Groomer, Joined Staff: May 2007
Shannon McKinney is our professional groomer. She has been here for 11 years, starting as a kennel manager and then training for the grooming position.  When she does not have a clipper or a pair of scissors in her hand, you will find her reading a book, pet sitting or her favorite, spending time with her grandson, Landon. Roll Tide!
